Daniel is a worshiper.

Background

As a Pastor’s kid in a dynamic Pentecostal-charismatic congregation, Daniel grew up with vibrant contemporary worship all around him. From a young age he began piano lessons and excelled, leading him to attend the Conservatorium High School in Sydney, and winning several scholarship which took his studies to the Royal Academy of Music in the UK before continuing at the Sydney Conservatorium for his undergraduate studies. However, the success of his music schools would soon make that his prime focus, alongside worship ministry.

He married Kris (another Pastor’s kid), and they now have 3 adult, married children, and 5 grandchildren.

Ministry

As a worshiper and speaker, Daniel has ministered in churches across Australia and around the world.

Daniel’s first worship pastor role was with his father’s church, Penrith Christian Fellowship Centre (now ImagineNations Church) in the west of Sydney, Australia. He took on a full-time role as worship pastor for Mt Annan Christian Life Centre (now C3 Mt Annan) during the ‘Toronto Blessing’ for which Mt Annan CLC became a central hub for conferences, worship, training, and several live albums, including “Revival Now” and “Revival Now 2”.

From there, Daniel and Kris went to North Shore Christian Centre (now LifeSource Church) for 7 years, first as Worship Pastor, then as Associate Pastor. During that time, several more live worship albums were produced included “Father”, “From This Place” and…

After a short stint off-Broadway, staring in the new Aussie Musical “Angels”, Daniel was invited to Paradise AOG (now Futures Church) as the Music Pastor, where he featured in major musical productions, albums, and the management of a large multi-campus worship team.

On returning to Sydney, Daniel commenced at Alphacrucis University College, where he continues to oversee the Ministry and Worship disciplines, having worked in a variety of leadership roles. He and his wife, Kris, also pastored a pioneer work for a couple of years in the Blue Mountains and now serve as pastors across the multi-campus Strong Nation Church.

Education

As mentioned, Daniel’s initial training was both within a contemporary music environment of his church, and in the formal classical environment of the Conservatorium, completing his L.Mus.A (Music Theory) and Performers Certificate (TCL) during that time.

While in pastoral roles, Daniel completed his A.A. (Religious Studies), but it wasn’t until he came to Alphacrucis, that he complete his Master of Music Technology (with distinction) through the University of Newcastle, followed by his PhD at Macquarie University

Daniel also has experience in Vocational training and has his Cert IV Training and Assessment.
